Exciting New Distant Region Tax Credit

BC announces an increase to regional tax credits

1. Studio Zone - Vancouver Studio Zone remains the same
2. NEW Nearby Region
   Outside Vancouver Studio Zone - north to include Whistler, east to include Hope, and the Capital Regional District on Vancouver Island.
   • Film Incentive BC - Regional Tax Credit remains at 12.5% Production Services Tax Credit Regional Tax Credit remains at 6%.
3. NEW Distant Region
   East of Hope, north of Whistler, north of Capital Regional District/Vancouver Island.
   • Creation of a Distance Regional Tax Credit
   • Film Incentive BC - Regional Tax Credit is 18.5%
   • Production Services Tax Credit - Regional Tax Credit is 12%

PLUS

There is an increase of the BC Film Tax Credits Program for two years:

Film Incentive BC is raised from 30% to 35%

Production Services Tax Credit is raised from 18% to 25%
